Job Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist will work alongside OTs, PTs, and other SLPs in a collaborative environment. ACCEL’s student population consists of AAC users and students with a variety of developmental disabilities in K-12+ educational settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide consultative and direct speech and language therapy services.
· Evaluate and write evaluation reports for students receiving services.
· Develop and implement individualized educational plans and instructional programs.
· Responsible for programming augmentative communication devices and monitors maintenance requirements for those devices.
· Participate in Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) and Individual Education Plan (I.E.P) meetings when appropriate.
· Participate in the individual education planning, collaborating with teachers as appropriate for each student to receive speech/language therapy.
· Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to implement therapeutic and educational programs.
· Provide ongoing and periodic evaluations of student’s progress, documenting progress with the same frequency as for all ACCEL students.
· Develop and maintain a professional relationship with parents/caregivers and inform them of the student’s progress.
· Submit all reports within designated time frames.
· Maintain an accurate record keeping system.
· Maintain attendance and hourly contact records for Medicaid.
· Submit Medicaid billing as directed.
· Comply with ACCEL policies.
· Maintains regular attendance.
· Performs related duties, special assignments and projects as required by the Therapy Supervisor.

All personnel hired by ACCEL shall be fingerprinted as a condition of employment, except for certified personnel who, as a condition of certification are required to have a valid fingerprint clearance card. All other personnel shall obtain a state level fingerprint background check.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
· Valid Arizona Department of Education Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate and Department of Health Speech-Language Pathology License.
· Obtain an AHCCCS number for submission of Medicaid billing. Current NPI number and AHCCS ID will be needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· AZ Hearing Screening Certificate, preferred.
